I read this very promising thread as I am researching the options for doing (or not) a similar thing. But it seems the thread got lost in space somewhere...

This is one of the best mods to make, lowers your cabin temp significantly in hot weather. There are a couple other threads on it also.

no, after some phisical-on-the-spot trials with real parts (including a two way valve from an E36) i found it so difficult to implement that i gave up

@Stevehose: Thanks Steve. I should have been more clear... Yes there are indeed many posts on the subject. I have read most with great interest. My question was directed specifically at this DQ method.
