Hello, was wondering what is the source or substitute for this old tubing.

If you are not a purist, you can use aircraft duct tubing.

Thank you both for you reply. I am likely over-thinking some things. Of course VW used the same or similar size material. this certainly will work. From the cite Redrumm3

The EMPI VW Heater Hose for Type 3 Volkswagens is 63mm by 1000mm, contains no paper, and is made out of flexible aluminum flame resistant to 450 degrees. Reference part number: 616 211 29501.
The aircraft duct would work but at10X the price. I measured and ID is as close to 63 as I could tell with the old tube.
