When did "later" start? I assume the ones I have would be post '73, non-US then?

I have no clue. The parts book shows two part numbers, one for 2800CS superseded by the 3.0CS part number. I think all e9s had the earlier cover though, at least US 72s had it, someone with a 72 can confirm.

the ones on my 2800 cs are just like Stan's. i have never seen ones like Stephen's the other type that i have seen are the current ones.
