Hello all my name is Azar and I am the proud owner of a 1973 bmw 3.0csa, which has been off the road for the last 25years, but thankfully dry stored.
At my first viewing of the car I did the basic checks when looking to buy a car but did not look for the specific known problem areas of the e9. Thankfully I had a look through this forum which allowed me to inform myself on the problem areas of the e9 and after my second viewing I purchased the car.

I will definitely need the specialist knowledge of the forum members to help out with a few issues, but I'll post my issues (e9 related) on another thread.

welcome to the gruppe! you will find tons of information on the forum as well as a bunch of wonderful guys to help. be sure to check out the FAQ section of the forum to find out a lot of typical information about our cars ... as well as threads such as top sources, tires, and much more.

by the way, the first two respondents @TomHom and @alprada70 are both GREAT sources. Thomas finds great parts that are NLA and Alvaro makes incredible reproductions of NLA bits.

This forum has already proven to be invaluable, as while waiting for my account to be approved, I have been utilising the search function and reading up on old threads relating to the issues I have been having. I am amazed at the breadth of knowledge the forum members possess.

Azar - my recommendation is when you start taking things apart / redoing them ... you should start a thread on your car in e9 projects + restorations and keep adding things as well as asking questions there. then everything is in one place for the long haul.

I will definitely do this.

You might already know this, but just in case. Put every thing in labeled bags, take lots of photos and videos. Will be so helpful when you put it back together.

Welcome!
As fellow car enthusiasts were here to help you out. Read the FAQ, scan the titles of the DIY section so that you know where written help already exists.

Share what your doing if you will, my curiosity is about endless (and some other members are that disease as well)

If you're stuck somewhere, just reach out.

Nothing better then to start the day with a interesting e9 dilemma, whether it be be tear down or build up, going left or right in your choices & taste.
