I am posting again because my post this AM got buried by seven(7) later ones.

My mechanic is trying to smooth out, the least of the problems he is facing, my D-jet system. But he has no manuals or other helpful material.

Can anyone point me to anything that will help with this problem?

Thanks, Steve

I don't have a direct link, but I am 99% sure there has been a link posted...

As I recall it was a scanned manual, or some German site.

Steve, I am surprised you or your mechanic are not aware that this system was used on Porsche 914's + Volvo's among other cars.

A quick search for D-Jet vehicles might yield a reference albeit from another source/forum.

Best of luck with your project,

MF

MF, thanks for the quick turnaround. I will suggest all this to my mechanic who is a Volvo lover and we talked about the fact they are used on Volvos. But he says each manufacturer tweaks their system differently. But I will let him know about the 914s.

Cary has decades of experience working on all the German and most of the other foreign cars. I trust him explicitly so perhaps this is a deeper problem than I realized.

For starters, there is the shop manual and autobooks. But before dabbling, i would double check ignition and valve settings - also covered in the manuals.;-)

Thanks guys. I have sent all this to my mechanic and we will talk tomorrow. Looks promising. Steve

Bosch did publish - in English - a d-jet manual for the CSI. Makes sense given UK sales. But I have yet to see a copy become available. If a member knows how to get hold of a copy, I'd be happy to scan and make available to all...
(I have a German copy and had plans to work on a Google translation, but...)
