i would like to identify my rear strut spring support, i find it a little bit odd when i compare it with the formal photo found in the blue manuals

the geometry is different, so is the fixing point

my setup:

the setup as it is in the blue manuals:

i added little drawings in blue of the schematic of both

my car is from 1971, does this make a difference, which one is your setup ?

thank you, then iis it possible that the manuals reflect the e3 setup ?
second question, the torque of this nut is specified at 120 N.m, right ? it is a bit strange as the torque is applied not against a metal surface, but against the rubber of the silent block
opinions ? isn't it odd ?

I don't remember exactly but isnt there a metal bushing in the rubber that it bolts up against?

yes should be a tube sleeve in the rubber bush, and you don't really need to get fancy doing it up with a torque wrench, just do it tight will be fine

Manual is identical to my E3 and I believe there is a metal bushing in the shock.

Here is a picture taken when the sway bars were installed.
