Hi from an italian CSL owner

Admirer

Wow,
Two CSL's as well as a 74 2002 Turbo? Any pics of the 2002? I am sure my good friend Andi (orangener) would love to hook up with you in Vienna!

CSLs in Italy

Mille grazie Lorenzo!

As regards CSLs sold new in Italy, there were more than half of the total production, of the 169 carb ones, sold to Italy. Only about one third were sold new in Germany and only 12 different European countries received new carb CSLs.

I think today, it exists only very few carb CSLs in Italy (less than 10). Many cars have been exported from Italy (or broken).

BTW, are you thinking about to complete the colour scheme with a Golf carb. There might be some Golf ones to be restored ...

Cheers

Golf yellow CSL is gorgeous, I remember when I was a child and remained astonished looking at a yellow CSL in the BMW showroom of my town. I think it was 1975 or 1976, I often visited the dealer to look at that used CSL. At that time my dad's car was a 3.0 SI. I was really impressed by these CSLs in crazy colors (for italian market, in Germany they were more popular).
But now, unfortunately both finance and space are exhausted for another CSL project.

BTW I think most popular colors for carbs CSL were oranges and yellow: is there any source for numbers built by color?
