I've been learning a lot from this forum for a couple of months in preparation for owning an e9, a car I have wanted for a long time.
Yesterday I became the owner of a verona 1971 2800cs. The collective experience and knowledge on this forum is going to be a great help as I work my way through the issues that need attention.
Regards, Ian

G'day

G'day Ian - I am born and bred in Melbourne, well St. Kilda infact and then the family moved out to Kangaroo Ground... I love Australia deeply but at the age of 26 I moved to the UK and then in 2000 I moved to the USA. My family are still back in Melbourne and my wife's family are out west in Perth. We try to get down-under every other year.... and we time our trip to miss some of the Boston winter to enjoy the Melbourne summer :)

Welcome to the global E9 community.

Go Tigers!

Ian,

Welcome to E9 ownership.

Can you tell us more about your car. Did you know that IDB in Richmond specialise in these cars (you may have purchased the car through Bill at IDB?)

Cheers,

Rod

Hi Rod, the car is Aus delivery has had 2 owners, and is in mostly original condition. The original block cracked a long time ago, and the engine was rebuilt to 3 litre.Never smashed, almost zero rust, but I am sure it will throw up the odd surprise. I have known the car for 20 years, it belonged to a friend of mine and has been well treated. There are a few issues to address, but definitely not in need of a full resto. I have heard of IDB, but don't know them. I'll put some photos up shortly. Ian
