hello everybody

I start next week on my bmw e9,the plane is to strip the car complete
everywhere I find rust, sandblast it,and place new pieces of metal where that is needed.

but,the fenders of my car have no rust holes, there are still good(outside)
but I have seen the last month so many pics of the e9 without fenders and it seems that there are special hidden places on the e9µ

what must I do

remove every plate or fender to open those special places to sands blast them and thread them with a special product so rust stops in those hidden places

but I no nothing about those hidden places and where exactly to open them when needed

so I need info to track down those place, how and where I can check them and stop the rust

or a good link with good foto's about those places

best regards

and greatings from belgium

rust bmw e9

thank you

I total mist that

question, where exactly is that where I have to go look with a flashlamp.
(fender traingular spot)

you can look in those places, there are no hidden rooms where you can not see in

is there a trick,to get the rust away behind the fenders or just remove the fenders

when the fenders are still hard from the inside

can you

example
cut holes in the innerwheel arches to sandblast
or do something else

greatings

ruben,and thanks

I have made a fault

I want to say, when the fenders are still hard from the oudside(not inside)
and there is rust on the inside

must you remove that the fender
or is there a other way to remove the rust there

maybey buy cutting holes on the inside of the wheel arches
to work those are,I have seen that before

cut out a metal plate,on the inside
big enough for good view and to work there

when finisched, close it back with a plastick plate(flexibel)
and close it with ribbets(so when you drill the ribbits out you can check that place, every few years

I have seen it on a old ralley car, that haves plastick few plates in the wheels arches

greatings

restauration of the e9

I think the best thing I can do it to remove the fenders very care fully
(there are still hard)
so I can work good behind the fenders(and do the fenders too on the rear side).and when the fenders removed,I can do it good, the only question is,are the fenders easy to remove, and to replace
if I see the pics, there are to much place,I must be sure, when I dont want to spend money, and in a few years the paint gone and rust and fenders gone because I didn't want to do it good from the first time
and when the fenders are gone, extra money

thank you
