Aw shucks. What Amy neglects to mention in her usual humility is that my award was on Saturday -- when the amateurs were allowed on the course. Sunday brought out the invitation-only big guns, and that's when Amy won her class...along with Dirk de Groen (328 and 507) and some others.
Several of us who attended Amelia, Eurofest and Hilton Head Island agreed that this event is as good as any on the east coast. In some respects (local restaurants, reasonable housing, etc), this event is outstanding.
BMW AG is a regular major sponsor at this event but the number of entered BMWs is fewer than one would expect. Next year, the featured marque will be "German marques." Let's hope for lots more coupes and other vintage BMWs.
Oh yes -- Gary Beck and George Whiteley (both pro photogs) used up lots of digital memory and should post some pics soon -- I hope!
