Holy Guacamole!!

Wow. Glad I bought mine when I did as well, but this isn't a comp for it. Might just give BMW Classic more fuel for their pricing strategy.

ya, guess my theory on four-door collectibles are blown out.

$135k...as soon as you add mileage it goes down in value.

Might as well get a 2023 M5 and have fun with it.

Well, I think an E39 M5 would be much more rewarding to both drive and look at than a 2023 M5.
A 59k mile 2000 M5 that looked very nice sold for $29k the next day on BAT.
The price delta between 2000 and 2001 is significant. Enthusiast Auto Group generally only sells 2002 and 2003s. 2000s have some unique things over the later cars (e.g. complete leather with the embossed leather interior, black carpet with the caramel nappa interior) but most buyers prefer the later cars. There were several revisions with the piston rings and the VANOS oiling system.

What is funny about this particular car is that it was for sale in Tucson for about 3 years for $100,000 and everyone laughed at the ad. Apparently someone actually made a deal on it and still made money.
