Hood Grille's

Thoughts on the functional hood grille design?
I included the functional side vent detail for reference.

The hood grills are already functional, they are how the heater & AC system (I believe) get fresh air. If you keep strut front suspension I don’t see how the side grills / gills can be functional, the strut is in the way of any ducting of engine compartment heat :-(. ~ John Buchtenkirch

We are building a custom chassis to integrate into the unibody so the side vents will be functional. My design goal is to try and not depart too much from the stock design but there will need to be compromises to accommodate the M5 drivetrain.
