My hood prop broke and it looks like this is common for a car 50+ years old. Any advice on how/who to fix it. Would anyone have anything in decent shape available for purchase?

Sorry I am lousy at taking photos

I made a diy on it. Let me.dig up a link...

Here ya go:
Thread 'Hood (bonnet) torsion spring mechanism failure E9&E3' https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/hood-bonnet-torsion-spring-mechanism-failure-e9-e3.42462/

I have one that i can build up with a thicker steel tube, but I'm in the Netherlands, and shipping these big things isn't exactlt an economical hobby anymore.

Or you weld it youeself /locally with the instructions in the linked section.
Thanks for the response and the jump to the thread. I looked for this earlier this week and for some reason I was not successful. I have taken the prop to a fab shop and am hoping that I get back a finished product ready for paint.
