The one on my '74 broke and I'll need a new one to repair it. Does anybody have one?
Thanks, Hal.

Are you looking for the whole bar or the internal spring mechanism?
I just replaced mine - LONG story, but my bar was cut short (??), but the spring mechanism seems to be working fine.

The bar that attaches to the top of the fender broke right at its connection to the tube that contains the torsion spring. I also need some parts for the same mechanism for our '71.

@ChasC Wrt to the too short tube - i have one as well that looks like would fit e9, but it is about 10mm too narrow. Everything else is ide tical to the mm.
I'm thinking those came off an 2000CS.

That might explain it, yes.

I have this “shorter” bar available, that seems to work perfectly “otherwise”!!
If anyone could use is it LMK ….

Well i think they are about as valuable as a broken e9 one : replace with a correct length higher wall thickeness tube, reweld it back (at the correct amgles and such), and it's ready.

Can i ask you to measure both up for me, just have a double check about the lenths of both?

I can measure both of the torsion bars I have: the one that was too short (not sure of the reason why) and the replacement I recently purchased that fits snugly and works perfectly. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do that until next Tuesday night ... but I will then.
