Guten Tag!

Well, I found the exhaust manifold covering plate that I need to attach a hose to the air filter housing so the thermal valve can do its job. But, given the heat generated by the exhaust manifold, I'm not sure what kind of hose I need. (The part is NLA from BMW, of course.) I assume rubber will melt, and coated paper will burn. Can someone who has that hose describe what it's made of? Thanks.

I've bought this before, it's still listed at Maximillion and Penske. It is a treated cardboard material and is crinkled so it can flex. Two sizes listed, depending on year.

Hose from airbox to manifold--

Available from Mesa Performance as well--in two sizes--2.8L and 3.0L smaller to larger diameter. Material is as described by Stevehose.
