This is triggering Katrina memories. Does it smell of rotting vegetation, wildlife, and garbage mixed together? I'll never forget that odor, lasted for months. Hopefully being on the water will help.
The smell varies depending upon where you are. We have had a lot of nice breeze, so not that bad.

This slide is incredible. On little Sanibel Island, there were 209 Teslas flooded and ruined by the storm.
Four caught fire prior to retrieval, but those fires were what prompted the FD to act. No houses burned down as a result because these four fires self extinguished because the cars were basically underwater when they caught fire.
Two houses had small fires (that self extinguished) from e bikes.
Overall we had six houses burn to the ground after the storm, and we think many were due to malfunctioning propane automatic while house generators (explosions documented).
The FD dragged 209 out of garages and away from the houses.
These are just the Teslas that were left behind. Lots more than that were driven to safety.
We left in the minivan and one Tesla. The other cars were in a warehouse off island, away from floods. And my daughter had her Subaru away at college.
