I have a wiping problem

OK- I'll fess up.
I need one. A drivers side.
I test drove my clients car last week and it flew off on the freeway.
It was horrible....
I recall this same thing happening. I was freaking out...of course it was raining...tried to find a place to pull over...by the time I could run from my Coupe to retrieve the wiper arm/blade assembly....transit bus had run over it. Made eye contact with the bus driver. Haunts me to this day.:(

Sorry to hijack the thread but were the black arms that came with the facelift cars just painted silver versions, powder coated or something else?

I ask because I’m after a set of original black wipers arms and not sure what to look for.

Does anyone have a set by chance?

still needs attention (the mismatched set) I've received input and responses from some on and off the board. I will split the mismatched set up, based on need. I want to know who NEEDS the sets or pieces versus who WANTS the set (as a back up) I want to sell to those who need first. Please be patient. I've been offered what I think is a ridiculous amount off the board. I want to sell here first to those I know and trust.
I have a CSL with the wrong wipers. I need the wipers (in a first world problems sort of way), and I will pay the 300. Thanks!

But if Mike got to you before I did then they are his. I will find another set at some point. Foolishly, I parted out a car about eight years ago and sold off all the parts not thinking that I would be in the coupe hobby for the rest of my life, which I am.
I sold a really nice set of brush nickel windshield wipers to one of our former members in Canada back then. I also sold an air conditioning face plate that was in great condition for $100 to Australia. It was fun to part out the car and see how everything was put together in the first place.

Can anyone help with the above please?

Guys - a buddy of mine came up with an elegant fix. I have my wipers secured with safety wire, so I haven't implemented this yet, but I plan to.

Remove the wiper, set it upside down in a vice and drill a hole directly in the center the knurled hole. Then install the wiper on the car, and use the drilled hole in the wiper as a guide to drill a hole directly in the knurled shaft. Remove the wiper again, thread the hole in the knurled shaft, install the wiper and secure with a pan head screw that matches the wiper finish. Problem solved.
