I met the coolest guy the other night!...
I stopped by a vacant commercial property the other night when I saw the door open, hoping to talk to the owner about selling. Turns out, the owner is a guy named Edgar, 72, who I think is originally from Greece based on our conversation, and has been in the Sacramento area for quite some time. After talking about what I do for a living, he starts talking about being the first BMW salesman in the Sacramento area back in the 60's! There was a one-car showroom owned by a guy named Hans and Edgar sold 1600's and 2002's. He said he thought it was a combination of his driving ability and his accent that helped sell the cars. I told him I have three 2002's right now, along with a couple CS's and he started laughing. Small world.
He told me to stop by anytime, so I plan on hearing more stories. He's using one of the buildings for his own use and said he always has a cold beer in the fridge. Cool!
