I'm considering my interior options and i may remove my seat rails for metal repair.
I can work around the rails but I'm 50/50 on restoring my nasty seats anyways.

so, can ya'll show me something other than OE e3 seats?

My goodness I second this! I saw someone selling velour seats on here but he never got back to me. Those OE vinyl seats with the grabby springs are a literal pain in the ass

I'd like to see how they look in the car. I've considered vw style lowbacks, and porsche cup style, and recaros as well, but it would really help to know how they look, how high they sit (or low) or if the styles clash with the date of the car.

pictures are worth 1000

But...the OE seats just look "right" ! Recaro are great in their own way...but seem a bit odd in an e3.
I'd be interested to know if anyone has restored the OEs with new internals and the same (or replica) vinyl, or better still same-design-but-real-leather covers?

My non tilting Scheel 501S wouldn't look too out of place in a sporting E3
