Ignition lock replacement 71 2800cs

I would look for answers with search function. I'm pretty sure such a topic was discussed already on here.

If you want an original BMW period correct key and lock - bring your money.

If you want the part # for an e24 lock like you brought up that will work -

Don help[ me understand why that lock barrel will work. the keys are different from the E9 keys and realoem shows it for later cars than an E9
 
Not every car needs a Pebra key
The later lock and key fits and works
 
Discontinued thru dealer- went ahead and ordered off the site link- 28 days out- hope sooner? Thanks again Don, Jeff

Good to know Don- is the 32321108976 only available thru the "Modded Euro" site? Dealer will want car reg etc. for security if it was available- hopefully I will be on the road and driving like I stole it;)Thanks again, Jeff
PS I will need windshield and rear glass installed at some point- do you do road calls or can recommend anyone in Sonoma county?
