Tom, I don’t know why but the e3 and e9 part numbers are different. It may be simply the molex connector being rectangular vs. square.

The ends can come right out of the Molex and use as one likes.

Yep, it’s easy to swap. The e9 has the dash light feed so maybe that is the difference.

There is an "early" style and later style for E9's. The difference is location of the mounting pins in the face, one style is 12 & 3 where the other is 12 & 4 (clock ref). Painful road that was....
