Hey, folks, I'll be at German Car Day at Larz Anderson on Father's Day selling and signing books.
If you haven't seen the book, it's got a beautiful shot of my E9 on the back cover, and several chapters dealing with the car's purchase and restoration. Three of the chapters were originally published in Roundel 25 years ago under the title "The Life, Death, and Life of a Coupe: How I Bought a Rust-Free 3.0CSi and Still Nearly Lost My Shirt," and have been significantly expanded in the book.
The book is doing well, rocking in and out of being the #1 best selling car repair book (which it isn't, really; it's a "life as a car guy" book) on Amazon.
Another positive review just came in at Autoblog (http://www.autoblog.com/2013/06/13/memoirs-of-a-hack-mechanic-book-review/).
See links to all reviews, including the New York Times and Boston Globe, at http://www.bentleypublishers.com/bmw/history/memoirs-of-a-hack-mechanic-by-rob-siegel/reviews.html.
Thanks. End of commercial. Happy Father's Day everyone. Enjoy your coupes!!
