Has anyone upgraded the fan and evaporator for the AC system to produce more cold air volume while maintaining a stock looking console? I have a Sanden rotary compressor in my coupe and a rotary compressor on my Bavaria from a 5 series car. I have also upgraded the condensers.

I live in Southwest Florida and if the AC is marginal for a coupe, you can imagine how well it works in a Bavaria in the peak summer heat and humidity. Is there a fan upgrade that would move more air and not be so loud? I remember 20 years ago seeing someone who was retrofitting their console on a Bavaria using components from a 3 series. That car was in progress back then and I never saw the completed project. I imagine coupe owners are more reluctant to modify the console very much. I am not wanting to add any kind of additional side vents to the coupe. The side vents on the Bavaria aren't much help. I tend to think a better fan mechanism could make a significant improvement.

There was someone who did an e28 evap and blower install and made mesh grill inlets for the sides centre console. It may flow and cool more.

On another thought... I need someone to go out to sanibel and to my sisters work there and tell her you’re dropping off her brothers new car he bought!
