i think you are being very kind about wishful thinking on the 2nd listing. the mecum auction coupe is nice - will be interesting to see what it sells for.

Yeah, I was a little generous on that one. But he might get his asking price; I understand the mice are taking up a collection...

Is that overspray on the Karmann tag for the blue one? If so, how could it be original paint?

excellent point Tim. the worst use of any word within the ad is - Condition: Excellent. in what parallel universe is this in excellent condition ... i think it is safer to say, good luck finding one thing on this car that is in excellent condition. look at that aftermarket a/c panel.
the ad says color is Fjord ... color 42 (shown on karman tag) is baikal.

The second was says it was delivered to Hoffman, don't think so!

Chris,

I'm looking for a history lesson. I've read up on this stuff before. BMW NA started selling in early '74 right? Did they sell euro spec cars also? Is it possible that Hoffman still did the CSI's? Also, I know that shoulder belts weren't a thing in euro cars in the 70's. My '72 CSi has period correct 'modern' lap belts up front. It's interesting that this car has the legacy style belts.

ook at that aftermarket a/c panel

Yea, who calls this "excellent"??? And why would a European delivery car have been sent to Max Hoffman? This is a nit, but shouldn't the wiper arm with the spoiler be mounted on the left side?
