Interior changes

Good day folks!

Looking for ideas (and pics!) of seat changes/upgrades/mods.

I have a few sets of front seats to try out in the e3: e21 Recaro’s, Scheel 400, and stock e9 CSi seats. Not sure how they’ll all fit and feel, so if anyone has any input they they’ve tried, please post up!

Love to see any center armrest options. I’ve seen 3.3Li armrest, but seems unobtainium. Interested in e28 or even the mid-90’s Honda Civic center armrest the 2002 dudes are running. Seems to fit well.

Just for S&G’s, throw in your ideas for the rear seat as well. Will e9 or e24 rear seats fit? I’ve read e28 rear seat goes in pretty well, anyone have pics?

i think the scheel 400's are really comfortable. the e21 recaros are okay, but to me, not as comfortable as scheels ...

Konig seats feel great. I can drive for eight hours and actually stand up when I arrive at my destination. My experience is that I could not do this with the stock seats. I love the way the stock seats look, but driving comfort is more important to me.

I had a center armrest, but it was not high quality and I removed it (forgot who made these, but he is no longer around). Frankly, I don't miss it.

Thank you for the photo of the Konig's; I was not aware of these seats.

Stylistically, they seem similar to E21 Recaro's, E24 sport Recaro's, E30 sport recaro's and FloFits.

I think your bolsters look far more comfortable bolsters in the other seats.. several details I see:

• I note the last bolster under your knees is fixed and not adjustable the way E24 recaro's are...
• the plastic items covering the metal are the same color as the leather (not black or chrome)...
• A custom job?

I will upload some seat photos.. ideas I'm thinking about putting in my E3.

Yes, the bolster is fixed. The seats in my e39 have an adjustment for this bolster and I agree this is helpful.

Not sure about the leather over the mechanism cover. It could be custom. These seats were originally dyed to match the seats in the owner's yacht. so it would not surprise me if he had those covers done up. He had custom leather covers made for the rear seats to match the leather pattern of the Koenigs and dyed those so they too matched the seats in his yacht.

Those König seats sure do look comfy and aesthetically pleasing as well (beautiful interior overall btw!).

The extended leg support is where it’s at! A 15-17 degree angle and leg support is key to me as I have a 34” inseam.

I notice a lot of similarities across the various seats.. my favorites are the Porsche seats.
