internal rear view mirror fitting

Hi guys struggling with fitting mirror but seems it has a piece that holds it in place - where can I get this???

The mirror snaps in/out and can be quite stiff. There is a stiff spring in the base of the mirror post, and a conical element at each end. The spring must be compressed so the conical elements slide into "holes" in the body structure above the windshield.
