I had two sets (belts in rear armrests, armrests with plastic parts for belts, wood with fabric hole for hook, hook etc.), dismantled from German market cars. So... pretty hard to tell
Very interesting solution except the need of drilling the hole in the vinyl trim.
My was originally equipped with plastic hook but it was only a hole left, which means that the plastic hook despite originality is far from being durable solution. But for sure less brutal in case of installation.
One thing I would say about the UK style seatbelt arrangements, is that I wouldn't want to rely on them in an accident!
The factory engineered mounting points are heavy duty brackets mounted in and around thick steel. The UK arrangement adapts one mounting point by adding the bent bar you have - bolting it at one held and holding it with self tapping screws at the other (sad but true!) and the inertia reel is bolted to the edges of the inner sill without any reinforcement whatsoever. I cannot help feeling the designers in Germany would not have been impressed ....
