Actually it needed a new head gasket but it will get a whole lot more. Probably good that it is out because the thrust bearing is shot.

Oil on the driveway...oh, you mean the crank =), nothing noticeable when it was running however when I pulled the motor (for the new head gasket and engine bay detail/paint) I noticed that I could move the crank back and forth way more than I knew I should be able to. Spec is .08-.16 mm and mine was moving 0.24 mm.
