Attending the great Bicester Oktoberfest Meeting two years ago I was more than happy to follow Niek's invitation for this year's event.
Niek's father, living in Holland not far from my home, took the chance to join me. With his experience in rally racing he was a big help as the copilot.
Taking the night ferry arriving refreshed at Harwich on Friday morning, we headed towards the Cotswolds, not on the motorway but on the scenic small roads.
On Saturday, nearly 70 Sharknoses took part in the tour leading through some of the most beautiful roads of the region, starting at Farmer's dog with stops at Thornley Kelham and the Classic Motorhub.
Sunday's static event took place at the Fire Service College, located at Moreton-in-Marsh.
About one hundred beautiful cars showed up, perfectly cleaned and presented by their proud owners.
It really was a great event, perfectly organised.
After 1400km with my E9 performing perfectly I arrived back home Monday afternoon. What a great Tour!
