Just asking.... Radar options?

They do the 90 MPH cruise in Ontario as well. A Radar detector will get you beat up or tasered around here. The Motto on the side of our Police cars is: To Observe and Collect"

All this and the fact that you can't insure a Miata with a measly 50HP supercharger , can be charged with street racing for 30 over (car confiscated) makes me settle for the modest power of a 325IT. The lust for high powered cars is mostly over.

The 9500 with GPS updates alerts you to know or reported radar/laser traps. I've been saved many times by the Ka alert. Most cops here still use that. As for the laser, when set to "jam", it gives you a warning allowing time to brake and then turn it off so the police can get a "read" on your car and not become suspicious or pull you over...of course by then you've slowed down. It works.

just wondering, but has some lawyer challenged them for driving at super speeder pace without their flashing lights / sirens on? they are breaking the law to find others breaking the law, and endangering the general public.
An interesting question.

During my recent Vermont "encounter", it was 6 AM on a Sunday going north on I91 from Hartland to Fairlee with literally no one on the road at that time of day. I was on a one mile straight stretch and I could see long stretches both front and back so I decided to air out my E28. I didn't expect to see others gaining on me at the speed I was going but I could tell the car way behind me that was gaining had a roof rack. I thought it prudent to slow down so I let up with no brake lights. Sure enough, Mr. Vermont Super Trooper comes up and blows by me doing well north of 100. We had also seen each other 10 minutes earlier at a coffee shop (shocker) before I got on the highway so I was half expecting him anyway. At least I got my cardio for the day.

Beautiful country this time of year up there and lots of roads with little/no traffic especially at off hours. Hard not to go fast but you do need to keep an eye peeled for errant critters crossing the road.

laser

don,
ive had my 9500's 'laser alert' go off and not got a ticket, i guess the guy was lasering someone ahead of me. if you are on deserted road by yourself, and get hit by either ka or laser, you detector is alerting you to a ticket as you say.
