Just curious- how many people drive their coupe during winter/snow

Back in the seventies I used to ski up in Vermont and it was common to see young doctors, lawyers and stock brokers up there with coupes and also Porsches with ski racks mounted on them. Now all those early cars are just gone :cry:, shredded or basket cases sitting in someone’s garage hoping for a restoration. It’s very very rare to find a coupe in the Northeast that’s an un-patched original car, take my observation on that for all it’s worth. The salt monster never sleeps. ~ John Buchtenkirch

what are you, nuts?

The pretty, well-composed, evocative pics of E9s with gently-falling snow notwithstanding, it borders on abuse to routinely get any ungalvanized car wet, be it an E9 or an MG or an Alfa. Driving one on salted roads is against the Geneva convention. Even taking the value-judgment-loaded term "abuse" out of the picture, it will be like someone set off a rust bomb under the car. In a year it will be unrecognizable.

Are you nuts? . . . In a year it will be unrecognizable.

You don't like living on the edge?

The main problem is the fact that all the pic url's are all strung together one after another from beginning to end. One large sized pic and 2 medium pics are enough to fill an average computer screen. It's a good idea to post multiple medium to large pics on a different line altogether, double space lines to get a good separation between pictures. :-D

I love the contrast between the white, white snow and the darker colored cars. I feel like I am really seeing the lines, the design, the whole car in a new way. Clearer, sharper, more detail.
