I am doing some re-wiring of the ignition on a '70 2800. One of the wires was fried in the harness when I got the car and I'm ready to get her running. Even someone who has don this allot can get things backwards (my excuse) so I am asking if anyone has a very simple diagram of which wires go where. I'm mostly concerned with the area from the starter to the coil. Some of the wires were changed I think so I can not go by color alone. I want to get her running with the points and then switch her over to the pertronix, but if I change too many things at once I will lose my way because my memory is very poor due to excessive "wire crossing" at an earlier age. Any help is appreciated!

'Search' this board fir wiring disgram. There is someone who makes lamenated, 11x14? color copies for many makes. Got one somewheres. ..great item.

Funny

when I was going through some assorted parts in the car I'm helping with I came across that exact item. I'm sure the owner will get it back a little greasier-but at least the car should run :-)

Thanks

To fess up, I changed my coil about 2 years ago and put in a petronix unit last spring. While installing the unit, I then only realized I had hooked the coil up in reverse. The car was running fine before and after.
