This post is slightly off-topic. Looking at the other pretty (orangner) pictures ^^^^^ , made me wonder about various iterations of the djet air filter housing. Realoem indicates that the early housings (through 09/1973) had a flexible 70mm diameter conduit that connected the air filter housing to the front bulkhead air duct ("1"). Later models (from 10/1973) used a tapered snorkel that protruded through the bulkhead duct ("2"). Can anyone confirm any measurable benefits to the tapered snorkel versus the earlier 70mm non-tapered hose? Reduced intake noise? Increased intake air speed = increased air pressure?
