Dear LA Area E3 and E9ers,
My daughter Magz just landed a summer internship in South Pasadena that is causing a bit of a scramble. She needs to find a place to live and possibly a car for mid-May to mid-August. This time crunch coincides with her end-of-semester assignments and final exams. Because of this we are helping with some of the leg-work and research.
Looking at listings on sparerooms.com was making me wish I had more friends in LA to reach out to and then I remembered that I do - you all! While not personally acquainted with any of you, one of the many things I love about the forum is how trustworthy the members feel and act.
This leads me to ask if any of you might have a spare room or an extra car that you’d be willing to rent out for several months?
Please let me know if you live in the Pasadena area and have a spare room or garage apartment to rent. Or maybe you’re going out of town all summer and would like someone responsible to house-sit.
In terms of a car, she doesn’t need anything fancy. Just something safe and reliable with an automatic transmission (and yes, I do consider this last one a parental failure on my part). Since it’s a car, your location in the LA area doesn’t seem that important.
