LA shop recommendations

I will be sending my E9 to my daughter in Los Angeles soon. It still runs and looks good. She will be doing an extensive renovation. I would greatly appreciate suggestions for a good shop. I am the second owner, purchased from original owner in 1978. Thanks for suggestions.

By all means fix it first unless your daughter either has amazing skills, or anticipates a checkbook restoration.

Post college, I dropped $5k, found and sent my daughter a nice clean Honda CRV with a rebuilt top end, whose motor became unreliable (not the top end) and triggered the CEL frequently. She had no skills, this was in CA, and I couldn't help from 3500 miles away. I thought there was probably something simple gone wrong but she could not find anyone to properly diagnose and fix it. She got rid of it and paid cash for a Forester, and she is joyously happy to have car troubles a thing of the past. Hope that lasts.
 
Thanks for reference and suggestions. She is older as am I. She drove the CS in high school, now more than 20 years ago. It will be important for her to know as much about the car as possible including where to go locally to have it attended to. But, I definitely hear you and I would love to be involved. But, she will have it and take care of it for many years after I probably will not be around…….. I have enjoyed it for over 45 years now, wow
 
I won't go into detail but I don't recommend 2002AD in Pomona. It has a few aliases so if you are avoiding this place, get the address of 2002AD and check the address of other places to see if it is the same place. I've been on this board a few years and you'll be hard pressed to find me not recommending someone - I'm very unhappy with this place.
