What are the forums thoughts on fitting a later big valve head onto an M90 block. the reason is that the original M90 head is cracked beyond repair and the later heads flow better. I would like to get the best of both worlds - short stroke.3.5 with better flowing head

Is it possible to re profile the combustion area around the edges to remove hot spots and is the land area ok - plus are there any water passages which need to be modified?

I am interested in the forums thoughts plus any solutions

As I understand it, a M30B35 head on a M90 block is a good combination, but you will lose some compression because the M30B35 head has a larger clearance volume. There have been many threads about such builds, if you search around you can find quite a few.
