For those of you that couldn't make the trip to Le Sarthe for the 2008 Classic here are some pics. It was interesting that there were more CSL on the track than there was in the car park !

Is this the Paul with the very nice red CSL in South London?

If so you kindly donated your rear parcel shelf cover for my bat..

If so - do you still own the car and still use it as a daily driver?

Hi Richard,

Yes you are right - it is me with the red CSL.

It didn't stay as my daily driver for long not that I had any problems using it as such but just the guilt of doing so in all weather. The reaction from others didn't help whether they be fellow E9 owner whistling through their teeth at the thought of an E9 in the rain or just other road users wanting to talk to you - flattering at first but it does become wearing.

The car is now a garaged queen that only sees dry and sunny weekends. Its going well though and didn't miss a beat on the trip to LeMans.

Perhaps I will see you at the next BMWCC event.
