I am thinking of going to Legends this year and would appricate lodging recomendations.

If you stay in Carmel there are cozy inns and lodges like:
L'Auberge, Villa Mara, Carmel Beach House...for example.
A fancy spa in Carmel Valley is Bernardus...
and Asilomar has plenty of character in Monterey proper.
Reserving early is key I think for reasonable prices.

You are always welcome to stay at my place in Aptos. I do not know what my (or SFDon's) plans are yet, but 2-3 people can easily stay if they are willing to drive daily about 40 miles to Monterey...

Last year, I won some tix and had an last minute accommodation scramble for the weekend track events . Learning that there was not a vacant hotel room for a 50+miles, I discovered this unique option. Another option came thru but this place looked kinda fun. FYI: start the accommodations hunt early/now....pun intended

Lighthouse Lodge & Cottages are expensive during Car Week. We had a Cottage & it was worth it to us.
I've also pitched in to rent a house with 5 other people.

I still wear the trauma of my parents not taking me to zoos lest they would not let me out.
Alfred Hitchcock had a similar trauma with police stations.

Like Andrew said, renting homes is likely more affordable and much more convenient for car prep, cleaning, etc. If I recall, our 2017 Pebble Beach home rented for $7,000 for the week and we had four bedrooms to share so the per night fee was much better than hotel rooms -- which I think were at least twice that amount. And couple in the kitchen and ease of happy hours, well, this was the best approach for us...

Asilomar is large and has good underground parking. Good location. Decor is dated...
They had some open rooms as of last week.
