I had the opportunity last year to see John Renaudon's very original CSL, owned by John from new.

One of the interesting details were the rubber surrounds to the light contact switches in the door jambs, that not only is mine missing (after several restorations) but i haven't seen these before

i've trawled the web in attempt to source these, and have found them included on newer style switches, but unfortunately they are a little too small.

Here's an image of those of John's car. Would anyone know of a source ?

I suspect they are after market, there is no mention in the orange book and my 73csi which I have owned virtually from new does not have them. Nice to have them though I wonder where they came from?

Thanks Simufly. I'd cretainly be able rest a little easier if i wasn't missing an original equipment item ..

Thanks Starcruiser - i've tried these for size already, and they are indeed a little too small for our switches

The e24 had a switch with a rubber cover, It was the exact same switch except for the plastic plunger had an indent around it to seal the switch plunger. This switch could be that one with the rubber torn off the front?
