Did the knob with the light decal come as an original on any coupe?

Chris Macha had suggested, in the thread on the decals, that the light knob had no decal since the word "LIGHTS" is written on the metal piece above it.

Different years and markets received slightly different treatments. I recall seeing symbols accompanied by labels. This may be understandable considering that many of the symbols and labeling were used by different BMW models in addition to the E9.

Timt
's comments aptly describe the circumstances surrounding labels or non-labels for various switches, knobs and controls. Now you see 'em, presto, now you don't. Or maybe you do.

[O]ne should bear in mind that BMW used parts as available at the time in their "parts bin", witness RHD cars with heater controls with labels in English, or in German and or with symbols only!

Knobs

Also my coupe came with
graphics on the ac knobs really cool
i think the 2002 has the graphics
instead of the line
one has a circled arrow and the other a snowflake

Do I recall a thread about knobs written in Braille?
Not only for blind drivers, also handy when driving really drunk and blurry eyed.
