All,

Just putting stuff back and realised I have 2 lights (look similar to number plate lights). Now seems they are from luggage compartment and engine bay???

Is this right??? - here should they be positioned???

thanks

And, if I remember correctly, the hood/bonnet light only illuminates with the light switch or parking lights on. I learned this the embarrassing way.

Gorgeous looking car! Yes the lights come on with the headlights althought I think trunk whenever it opens. The stop in the engine bay on the firewall needs to be in the right spot to turn off the engine bay light.

an alternative position for the trunk light

@stan, nice looking engine bay

as to the rear light, the one that goes in the trunk, the usual place is the back of the rear seat , but i found that if installed in this place the light is not doing the work, cos if you need to show and find the tools in the tool box, you have no light, so i prepared an alternative

when in this position, if you open the toolbox, you can see the tools, if you close it you can see the things in the trunk ;-)

how to do it, find it here:

Are trunk and hood lights the same? I am missing the one under the hood.

basically yes they are the same. i have seen the under hood lens to be blacked out at the top to focus light down into the engine bay

well not blacked out ... it is silver paint on half of the lens. somebody posted a pic once and had the lens upside down so it didn't shine light on the engine compartment.

THIS IS WHAT I DID ORDERED TRUCK LIGHTS FOR AN M5
GOES TO ALL CARS REALLY
THEN JUST WIRIG TO SEPARATE SWITCH FOR OFF IN DAYLIGHT (FUSED)
OK PHOTOBUCKET WONT WORK HERE "ALWAYS BLURRY " !!!!!!!!!
LOOKS LIKE ILL HAVE TO ADDRESS THE RIGHT WHEEL COVER TO STRAIGHTEN IT OUT.
MAYBE SOMEHOW CLEAN THE GAS EXPANSION TANK TO ONE SURFACE TONE
THE FIXTURES ARE PERFECT SENDING OUT SUPERIOR LIGHTING
