Limerock announces CSL 2275986 to be at HF43

Love seeing coupes in action!
Speaking of which… does anybody take non-CSL coupes out to the track? I haven’t even taken delivery of mine yet but I admit I’ve dreamed of taking it for a track day…

I would want to protect the front from rock chips, and I would only drive maybe 7/10, but it would be fun to get a sense of how it handles closer to the limit than I can go on public roads.

My buddy has an Alfa GTV and he let me drive it on track, which was so fun! He also gets more positive attention at track days than the lambos and mclarens

This is an historic CSL race car and was invited to be displayed. There are tracks that allow clubs to drive parade laps only. Others will have more info.

Yeah I know. Those wide body 3.5s are amazing.

I was kinda changing the topic, just wondering if anybody here had taken their coupe for something faster than “parade laps” on a track. I’ve done a lot of HPDE days and some amateur endurance racing, so I’m comfortable on track, but am wonder how the car would hold up.

Alternatively, in my crazier dreams, I’ve thought it would be fun to buy a really rusted out coupe that would be a parts car for somebody else and “fix” the compromised structure by welding in a cage. That way I’d have a coupe for the road coupe for the track

David Hobbs will be the Guest of Honor this year.59
Last year during The Vintage at Saratoga Springs New York, I only took one photo.

L to R, Kevin Ladd, Jack Deren the original Works Mechanic, Joe Rodrigues, think Erik Wensberg with a camera.
The car has moved from Jack Deren's outside Scranton PA to a town in Maine North of me in Brunswick ME
