LSD limited slip 3:45 recently rebuilt

Had two coupes once upon a time years ago and I do guess that the 3:07 went with them

So up for your consideration is a nicely rebuilt 3:45 with the differential fluid sender orange color code side loader

I depends on your motor, I believe this is a taller differential which means you can go faster top end with lower RPM's If I am wrong please chime in.

I do know that I did spend about 800.00 rebuilding the one that is listed.
 
a close ratio 5 speed on a light coupe with some extra grunt (3.5?) would make for a nice set up with this diff...

I have a getrag 265 being delivered today and a 3.5l is at the shop. I'm into acceleration not top end. I can testify that at 130mph without an air dam, a coupe is not exactly stable
 
I would not suggest an overdrive transmission with a 3.07 but a close ratio 5 would work with a 3.5 or similar engine- nice combo for "driving", not ideal for stop light runs. I believe the early Euro 635's were set up with a CR 5spd and a 3.07 LSD. Our coupes are quite a bit lighter than a 635 so you should still be able to get up and go with enough gusto to flex and twist your flexible flyer.

Anything much over a 3.07 with a dog leg will have you turning some rpms in 5th even while cruising. 1st gear in a dog leg will get you going real quick. Ideal ratio, IMHO, for an OD gear box is a 3.64. for all around driving. Many of the sideloaders out of auto cars had a 3.25 and once in a long while a 3.45 will show up.
