This product differs in one aspect as it is not a wax or polish. it is an enamel, that goes on and layer by layer fills in cracks, scratches and chips.
The reason why i picked the dull paint of the coupe is to illustrate this effect.

Rubbing compound would bring back the paint and shine it some. But that is not the goal I am trying to accomplish here.

If this is the result i can get with a dead paint job, then you should see what it can do for a car in descend or even good condition.

It was a bit unclear whether you were touting the product, looking for something that would improve your paint, or both. Again, I was not denigrating the product. I know its been around for at least 3 decades, but since I can't remember any particular results, I will be quiet.

With respect, labels can be misleading. You state the product is NOT a polish but it is actually labeled in bold print as a "POLISH/FINISH." I can't read the small print on my old can, but are you sure this is really a rub-on enamel?

Its hard to argue with good results, and I will be interested in learning how everything lasts under the intense Florida sun.

Best of luck when you finish the entire car!:)

yes, it is 100% a rub on enamel.
I know polish is a bit misleading since a polish has a abrasive in it.
but this does NOT.
the little print reads as follows:
active ingredients:
aliphatic hydrocarbons, amino polymers,ultra-violet sunscreen-inhibitors,moisturizers,conditioners,
rust inhibitors, mild inert cleaning agents,
aliphatic petroleum solvents

I am not going to use it on the entire car. just a spot to see how good it is...
the car is going to be repainted :)

You mention a dead paint job. On my monitor, one photo stood out from the others, making me wonder if your paint is possibly in decent shape and only covered by environmental residue. The point being that the liquid glass product may be doing an exceptional job of cleaning the finish as opposed to merely adding clear layers over it.

In any event, there are a lot of favorites out there. Per the attached links, most of the opinions, are like yours, favorable and passionate!

I also assume that based upon the graphics appearing on the Gallon container, it can come in handy if I ever find a place in the driveway to park a 707! (or is that a DC-8?) lol

to me it looks like a 707... the dc-8 had more roundish turbine cowling.
interesting read on the links...
it comes to show how using a wax seems to be more of an emotional than a sensitive choice :)
and thank you for being so optimistic about the paint... but it's as dead as Kentucky fried chicken
