yes, steve, i think so, was a local classic car show, seller was specialist in lighting, horns, radio, and so on, payed 105 euro, i do not have a date, nor a brand, only says "germany"
not a bit of modern sign in its construction, switch is same sort of that one in our ceiling lamp, and IMHO bakelite dates it before the 80's
another detail is that it uses the same old fashion bulbs as our instrument panel
another one is that the positive contact is not a tiny point like modern type lighter connectors, but a brass plate 15mm in diameter
in my opinion plastic grain is pretty old fashion, and clear plastic lens holder is chromed metal, not silver painted plastic, screw heads are flat type, not phillips,.....
i would say that it is period correct, but i do not really know,...who cares, i like it my little beauty, my useless night reading map light :lol:
remark: good news, i do not need to drill three holes in my pristine dash wood to place the original csl map reading light !
