Ladies and gents,

I have a strange request, but as I know a good few of you made it to Pebble this year, you may be able to help in this quest. I had two cars on the lawn, one the blue Batmobile many of you now know and the Peter Gregg/Frank Stella M1 Procar.

I drove the Procar on the field and Jennifer drove the Batmobile, but then she ran back to the room to get the nose of the Procar. One of the kind guys with his golf cart, stopped to help her, only problem was it wouldn't fit inside, so they put the nose on the roof and she rode fireman style on the back of the cart holding the nose in place from our room to where we were on the field.

Apparently lots of people smiled, cheered and even took pictures, but sadly we do not have one of this iconic incident in the history of the car.

Did anybody here take a picture of this seminal incident in the cars life, or knows of one, we would be very very grateful.

Thanks

Pete

Peter, the entire Forum and the Global BMW community must see the photo!! Pleas post immediately upon receipt. Steve

I got there pretty early before the crowds but missed the incident. Your cars were magnets for the forum members ( I know I kept being drawn back to them all day). Looks like Scott (Craterface) is in your pic above.

Thank you guys, fingers crossed somebody has one.

Here is one of me driving it onto the lawn without the above mentioned nose :-)

Pete,
I'm the one who gave Jennifer a ride in the PB golf cart. We drove about a quarter-mile and when we pulled up onto the lawn she hoisted that massive nose panel, which is about as big as her, off the roof of the cart and carried it the last 50 feet across the fairway, drawing the attention of a dozen or so people taking photographs. It was a classic PB Concours moment. I hope you find that photo....It was one of my favorite moments of the day. She's a keeper! So is the car.

Mike,

Thank you again, I owe you buddy:-) Your good deed was such an important of the day - a great memory from a crazy, crazy, wonderful day.

At least, you understand why we hope to find a picture :-) hopefully we find it for you as well - the guy who will forever be known in our home, as the guy who saved the day for the Procar.

I agree, both are keepers.

Pete

I used my part searching capabilities towards the effort. I emailed a professional photographer that captured the car sans bumper (different photo than above). Perhaps he will deliver!
