I have a set of 16" Style 5 alloys and my car has the crappy steel wheel lug nuts. The correct lug nuts at the dealer are $6 a piece, meaning $120 for a full set. Yikes!!!

Does anyone have a used set I can buy off them by any chance? I'd love to get a set of the stainless ones but I am probably pushing my luck there.

Thank you

Bo

i think the nut that you use depends on whether they are covered or not - for instance, if you use the early e9 wheels that have the chrome covers, you can use alternative lug nuts.

there are these from aardvark on ebay for 29 bucks

or these from aardvark on ebay for 33 bucks

if you have alpina style, you should consider the ones from coupeking for 125 bucks

Good point Scott. Those Style 5 have the nuts completely covered so look is of not importance. I just want the correct taper and depth.

aardvark has lengthy experience on older BMW models ... and make different things for them.

Sorry for the late reply but thank you very much dtortoise, Markos and Scott. Super helpful stuff.

Scott, are those Aardvark ones a little short in the taper area? Or is it my imagination. It looked like on my wheels the taper part is about 60 or 70% "deeper". Does that even matter?

Markos do you know much about these Dorman ones that are mentioned in the link you posted. He's got some on Amazon but they look like cheap Chinese junk.

I have no personal experience with them. That was an exercise in finding alpina-like lugs. No need to overthink this one since yours will be covered.
