Looking for: alternator, wiper motor, wiper relay, more...

Hello All,

Still working on my '70 2800CS (one day i'll get to drive it!). I'm looking for some parts:

1. alternator
2. wiper motor
3. wiper relay

Also, in the off chance folks know where to find l/r tie rods and center tie rod (apparently there's a world-wide supply crunch), I'd appreciate a push in the right direction.

Tie Rods

Where are you located? If everyone's profile had their location it would help. Hard to believe tie rods could be in short supply, have you checked with vendors in the Links section?

I'm located in Washington, DC (updated my profile, sorry about that).

I have a few emails still pending with vendors from the links section and elsewhere on the tie rods. I've been finding that they are few and far between--and those that are available, the prices are pretty jacked up. I'm not sure what others have experienced, but $160 for a single tie rod seems exorbitant (but maybe I'm not experienced).

Tie rod end assemblies

My suppliers list these at $143.00 each, but are not in stock

Mobile Tradition lists them at $272.00 YIKES . . worse than parts for an ///M car . . .

If they can get them, one of my other suppliers should be able to as well.
I will check on Monday morning and post here.

Outer ends are readily available to me, inners are the difficulty . .

Nope, contacted them last week and they don't have them in stock (although they're listed in inventory on their site).

I've got a wiper motor and relay from someone on the list shipping, thanks for the offer (I'll let you know if things don't work out). Also, someone else is matching up the years on his alternator to my car.
