Looking for e28 rear window motors

I am parting an E28 and about to remove the motors from the doors and then bench test them. I won't be able to do $125 for the set though sorry because for the time it will take me to remove them. Nonetheless, I will see how I go and then update this thread if they are for sale.
thanks. not sure if worth swapping out just the rear window, but ideally i would like to.

Nope, not the same.

I too could use an 026 motor plus some door wiring with plug.

I have a set of E28 motors near Oakland, California. They made a huge difference on the 74 coupe conversions I used them on years ago. All set and ready to ship. PM or e-mail me.
I also have a dozen or so E-12 motors, the 8 tooth style.
And finally a pair of 6-tooth that are ideal for sardine can swaps.
No need for these orphans.

E12 motors were the intermediate series after Sardines. They have a plastic armature cover that can be pulled back. The E-28's have the strongest motors, I've been told the magnet technology is what makes them so good. I do know that running them instead of the originals on my 74 CS was light night & day. A complete regulator overhaul helped by cleaning off all the old dried out lube. I re-lubed mine with Molykote 321, a dry lubricant.

I still have some motors, sold quite a few at that crazy price...$50 each now. From what I have seen the late e12 rears are the same...I also sent a set of Mercedes motors to someone from the list, not really sure which model car they come from but have 8 tooth gear.

Anyone needs e12 or e28 window motors email me at

Scott, one of the motors was dead? tested them before they shipped, problem in wiring or plug??

Thanks
