K-I had these type mirrors painted the same color as the body on the fenders of my 1969 Fiat 124 Spyder. I first saw them on a Lamborgini Miura. Who made them?--Drew

Drew, this design is called Vitaloni Sebring Mirror and was on many Italian designed cars and on many race cars too.

@Tim Parker you might want to get in touch with

and see if these are the mirrors you’d like and find them in the US

Thanks, Keshav. Sebring was the brand I had on my 124 Spyder. Now is the time to look into a mirror change. I like the idea of having a mirror permanently adjusted. The Flag mirrors get bumped out of adjustment easily.

Traps would be the ‘correct mirrors‘ for your car though. They are more compact than the flags.... and possibly where the Euro mirrors are located would help

This post is for Tim Parker, for a Gp.4 application, Engelmann mirrors are what was quite often (most often?) used in the 70's, and are often on eBay or other sites, usually listed for Opal or Capri applications. Sometimes tough to find, other times theres a bunch. Be patient. This style has been knocked off over the years (as Keshav mentioned one mfg is Vitaloni) but if you want to be a nittly details guy you want the ones that have "Engelmann" molded into them. The one pictured below sold on e-bay last month.

DP-The Englemann mirror looks like it is mounted on a fixed base and the entire mirror moves for adjustment. The Sebring mirror's housing is fixed and only the mirror moves for adjustment. I had the Sebring mirrors on the fenders of my '69 Fiat 124 Spyder. Now that I know they're still available,I am considering putting them on my Coupe so I can adjust both mirrors and not have to worry about them being knocked out of place. I need to mount them over where the holes are for the flag mirrors. The Flags are mounted behind the wing window-USA style. But I need to find out if the Sebring's mirrors really allow you to see traffic in your blind spots on both sides of the car.---Drew

Keshav- The flag mirrors are nice, but they also can be knocked out of adjustment. My flags are mounted behind the wing window and the doors have been already been painted. Do you know if the Sebring mirrors allow you to see your blind spots in regular traffic? The race cars previously shown with the Sebring mirrors are not driving on public roads. BIG difference than on the race track where everyone knows how to drive!!---Drew

Drew, as you suspect yourself, those Sebring mirrors will not be suitable for public roads, rear view will be very limited. As for the race cars, well they only look at what’s ahead of them anyway.
And, they will not suit the classic look of your Tükis coupe, my opinion. Traps up close to the door edge look just right, again my opinion and only on the driver side, very old school. :)
